Sebaceous filaments are a normal and essential structure that lines the inside of pores and helps sebum travel to the surface and moisturise the skin. It does not have a plug.
Blackheads are a form of Acne and is a plug at the top of the pore preventing sebum from travelling to the surface.
Sebaceous filaments can become visible and make pores look larger.
Squeezing or extracting can cause damage and scarring. Do not do this - ever!
To reduce the appearance of pores and/or remove the blackhead plug you need an effective exfoliating cleanser that will 'dissolve' the excess without stripping the skin.
Once you have tried our Deep Facial Cleanser you will not go back to using anything else! It has effective Lactic Acid action for addressing excess sebum and at the same time has the calming properties of Canadian Willowherb to sooth even the most sensitive of skins.
